Cold Tom is a fantasy novel by Sally Prue, published on January 31, 2002 by Oxford University Press and aimed at teens and young adults. Cold Tom won the Branford Boase Award and the Smarties Prize Silver Award both in 2002.

Summary

Cold Tom follows the story of Tom, a young outcast in a ruthless elfin tribe. The Tribe sees Tom as a weak link in their society and plan to kill him to keep their people from being discovered or wiped out. When Tom finds out about their plans, he feels to the city of the "demons" or humans. He finds himself unable to fend for himself; he ends up hungry and with a broken ankle. Also, strangely enough, as he stays in the city, his demon side begins to break free.
