Williamsburg Art & Historical Center
The Williamsburg Art & Historical Center (WAH Center) is a not-for-profit organization founded in late 1996 by artist & philanthropist Yuko Nii. It is housed in a landmark building, the Kings County Savings Bank Building, dating back to 1867. It is on the National Register of Historic Places. It serves the general public by presenting art exhibitions, performances and cultural events as well as lectures, seminars and educational programs of local, national and international interest. It also preserves and displays historical art and artifacts. The WAH center’s further mission is to preserve its historical building, a French Second Empire masterpiece, and make it a functional part of the international cultural community.
