Eric Forman (That '70s Show)

Eric Forman (Topher Grace) is an Fictional character from FOX Networks That '70s Show. Most of the show takes place at Forman's home, particularly the basement, where he and his five other friends hang out. He has an almost perfect mother with intense emotional problems (Kitty Forman), an unloving, strict father hardened by war (Red Forman) and a "loose" older sister (Laurie Forman).

Eric was 17 when the series began in 1998. His skinny frame has been subject to many jokes by all his friends and even his own father ("Nobody wants to see a 80-pound boy dancing with his mother!"). He is a smart-alec with a lighning-fast, charming sense of humor and is generally nervous most of the time.

Eric's first love is neighbor girl Donna Pinciotti (Laura Prepon).

Eric's best friend is Steven Hyde (Danny Masterson).

Eric is a fan of Star Wars and GI Joe.

The character of Eric Forman is based on the adolescence of show creator (Mark Brazill).

Eric's job's have included a stint at the fictional Fatso Burger, working at Price Mart with his father (Red Forman). (Kurtwood Smith), the local dog food factory, and the Holiday Hotel as a waiter. Before taking a year off in season seven to contemplate his future and enjoy being lazy.

In season 5 Eric proposed to Donna at the Point Place water tower. They were able to keep their engagement secret for awhile until the episode titled "The Crunge" when he accidentally slipped the information to the gang. In the episode titled "Over the Hills and Far Away" Eric during an argument with Red revealed his engagement with Donna. Red tried to break their engagement by firing Eric from Price Mart and pressuring the couple to marry until sister Laurie suggested to Eric and Donna that they just move out of Point Place. They had plans to move to Madison, Wisconsin after graduating high school but during the episode "Celebration Day" Red had a heart attack so in the beginning of season 6 Eric had to stay home to help the family with their finances due to Red missing work and to help Kitty cut back her hours at the hospital.

In the season seven finale due to (Topher Grace) not renewing his contract, Eric left Point Place to go to Africa to teach, to earn money to help pay for his college education.
