The album focuses on a new element (in nu-metal) of Latin percussion, as well as a frequent alternation between English and Spanish Lyrics, which has become a trademark of the bands vocals. In addition, but certainly not the least of the bands experimental elements is the use of Spanish (or Flamenco) guitars.
Focusing on synthetic sounds, samples, and highly aggressive vocals (shouted lyrics, death metal-esque roars, etc.)
One may find themselves in boredom from time to time on account of the repetitiveness of many of the songs sounding like the other tracks on the album. One can only admit, though, that the overall South American-influenced sound of the band is a constant attraction.
The track "If You Still Hate Me" is a primary example of what Ill Niño can do in their efforts within Soulfly-inspired metal; starting off with a single, distorted, power chord riff, accompanied by an equally aggressive-sounding display of acoustic guitar work, leading up to an extremely aggressive roar, followed by shouted, angst-ridden lyrics, lashing out at criticism of his way of life.
The Title track of this album is a true statement of what the band and the album itself stand for: a raw, untouched form of music in the genre of nu-metal, a stand against the critics and detractors of this genre's (and its follower's) beliefs and way(s) of life; a revolution.
