Pollok Football Club are a Scottish football (soccer) club based in Newlands in the southside of the city of Glasgow. They are one of the biggest football clubs operating in Scottish Junior football, regularly attracting crowds of around 600, more than many clubs in the third division and even some in the second division of the Scottish Football League can reasonably expect to attract. They compete in the Scottish Junior West Premier League.

Formed in 1908, Pollok only really became one of the bigger junior clubs when Third Lanark Football Club went bust in 1967 and many of their supporters decided to switch their affiliation to them. They were one of the biggest clubs in the Central Regional Junior League and won the initial Western Regional Junior League in season 2002-03 with further wins in 2004-05 and 2006-07.

Pollok play at Newlandsfield Park and wear Black and White striped strips. Their traditional rivals are Arthurlie.

As of season 2007/2008, Pollok FC will make history by joining Culter and Linlithgow Rose in the first round of the Scottish Cup, due to the new sanctions allowing up to 4 junior clubs to enter, providing they have won one of the 3 Super Leagues and, or, the Scottish Junior Cup, the previous season.

The Scottish Cup

Pollok FC enjoyed their first ever Scottish Cup First Round tie away from home to St Cuthbert Wanderers at St. Mary's Park in Kirkcudbright on Saturday 29th September 2007. Pollok braved the storm and eventually ran out winners with a 6-2 scoreline with goals from Downs (2), Dingwall (2), McGeown and Waddell. A 2-2 draw against Montrose followed in Round 2, however in the replay on home ground Montrose ran out 1-0 winners. This brought to an end Pollok's Scottish Cup run.
