Father Emiliano Tardif was born June 6 1928 on the City of St-Zacharie, Quebec, Canada. He received the Roman Catholic baptism rites on the same day. He died on June 8 1999 from heart complications on San Antonio de Arredondo, Córdoba Province, Argentina.

Father Tardif was a Roman Catholic priest member of the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart order or MSCs (from the Latin, Missionarii Sacratissimi Cordis). Father Tardiff was well known for his missionary work around the globe, and for what he said to be a healing power from God.

Cardinal Jose de Jesus Lopez Rodriguez announced on June 11 2007 that the Roman Catholic church had initiated the beatification process to place Father Tardif in the process to sanctification.
