Stoney Point (French: Pointe-aux-Roches) is a Hamlet with a population of about 600 located in Town of Lakeshore in Essex County, Ontario, Canada.

After a survey in 1824, a farming community developed in the area. With increased travel along the Tecumseh Road in the 1830s, small communities of predominantly French-speaking settlers began to form along the south shore of Lake St. Clair. Stoney Point flourished briefly in mid-19th century until depletion of local timber resources reduced the village's mainstay industry.

As with many communities in the area with strong Francophone Roman Catholic history the centre of the village is dominated by a large Church. The Parish of the Annunciation celebrated 100 years in 2006 and is the cornerstone of the community's events and culture. The large steeple, erroneously removed by the diocesan architect in 2005, served as a landmark and beacon for fisherman and boaters on Lake St Clair.

Many of the lakeshore properties are owned by Michiganders who return year after year to their summer cottages on the lake, via the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel or Ambassador Bridge.

"The Lighthouse Inn" serves as a restaurant to travelers of Lake St. Clair and its citizens alike. A historic lighthouse is located across the way thus the name.

A small driving range is also located within Stoney Pointe's premises, an outlet for the town's reasonable population of golfers. Many nearby golf courses, including a Par Three Course, are also available for Stoney Pointe's citizens, though not in the hamlet itself.

Just recently, a new church was erected in Stoney for the use of Lakeshore Township(the area combing St. Joachim, Stoney Pointe, and Essex). The unfortunate and unneeded closing of the Stoney Point Church, the center of the community, clubs, and events, was a drastic fall for the village. With many hardships and series of events during and following the closing of their beloved church, less than half of the parish shows up at their new church for social events, or weekly masses.

Furthermore, in an emergency, Stoney Pointe is served by Lakeshore police, fire, and ambulance units.
