FlexLink is a world-leading Swedish company, with deep roots in industrial manufacturing of high volume lightweight goods. FlexLink automates material handling processes within: filling, machining, assembly, and packaging.
The company was founded 1980 in the city of Gothenburg, as a spin-off from roller ball (bearing) maker SKF (Svenska Kullagerfabriken AB). In the 1970’s SKF embarked on a massive production rationalization program in Europe. A visionary project, “Production Concept for the 80’s” was launched with the aim to run the night shifts practically unmanned. To increase productivity and safeguard the product quality, a continuous, automatic flow of bearing rings was needed. This is why the FlexLink multiflex plastic chain conveyor system was developed.
Flexible conveyor
The FlexLink conveyor is based on an aluminium conveyor beam with low friction slide rails guiding a multi-flexing plastic chain. Products to be conveyed travel directly on the conveyor, or on pallets/carriers. Products that are handled have a weight from a few grams up to 20 kg with a huge variety of shapes.
The conveyor system should be adapted to fit the specific industry's requirements.
