Derek Croxton

Derek Croxton is an independent researcher and free-lance writer who earned his Ph.D. at the University of Illinois. He is the author of several articles on military and diplomatic aspects of the Thirty Years' War, and of the books Peacemaking in Early Modern Europe: Cardinal Mazarin, and The Congress of Westphalia, 1643-1648.

Alongside Anuschka Tischer, he wrote the huge, critically-acclaimed The Peace of Westphalia: A Historical Dictionary.
