Carlos Pardeiro
Carlos Pardeiro was born in Montevideo, Uruguay and has lived in the USA since 1970. He began playing the guitar at the young age of 6 and composing at the age of 16. His native music upbringing was around classical guitar but after the Beatles revolution, he changed his style and joined one of latinate's most praised rock band of the 60's, Los Mockers. After moving to the USA and locating in Kauai Hawaii, he joined forces with then well known artist Buffy Saint Marie, with whom he recorded his composition The Surfer, (Mi Tabla El Mar y Yo).
He also composed and performed in 1974 in Hollywood on the sound track for the surfing movie classic The Forgotten Island of Santosha, which has been re-released on DVD and CD in 2001 (see santoshathemovie.com) His new found understanding of the presence of God in his life has compelled him to write new music and thus his new CD Expressions. Carlos Pardeiro's commitment to open creativity has also led him to the founding of a new alternative in the television industry, The Safe TV Channel (www.safetv.org). There he hosts his weekly show Purely Music and America Talks.[1]--Zeerpudnnelg (talk) 18:00, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
