Notes
Position on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart. No individual commercial single issued.
"All I Want for Christmas Is You" did not appear on the Billboard Hot 100 during its original release because a commercial single was not issued in the U.S. It peaked at number twelve on the Hot 100 Airplay chart. In 2000, the song entered the chart and peaked at number eighty-three because after 1999, singles were capable of charting on the Hot 100 without a commercial single release, and the song had received enough radio airplay to appear on the chart.[citation needed]
POP represents the changing face of the Billboard pop charts since 1993. Before 1993, reference to the performance of POP songs was on the Hot 100 Airplay chart, dominated by several Top 40, spin-based charts that fed the united Airplay chart. From 1993 to 1998, reference to "the pop charts" was the Top 40 Mainstream, a spin-based Top 40 chart. From 1998 to 2005 "the pop charts" referred to the Top 40 Tracks, a more accurate audience impressions-based Top 40 chart likened to the Hot 100 Airplay chart. In 2005, the name of the Top 40 Tracks chart changed to the Pop 100 Airplay and another chart, the Pop 100, was created to represent "the pop charts" with inclusion of sales for the first time. The positions here represent that of the Pop 100 Airplay chart.
U.S. video and radio promotion for "Sweetheart", the scheduled commercial release for which was cancelled, began before the eligibility rules for the Billboard Hot 100 were changed to allow album cuts to chart. After the change of rules for the Hot 100, the rules for the Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles chart were changed as well, to allow airplay-only singles and songs that were "bubbling under" to chart there. On the first week of the rule change and at the end of its run as a promotional single, "Sweetheart" appeared at twenty-five on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles chart.[citation needed]
"Can't Take That Away (Mariah's Theme)" and "Crybaby" were released as a double A-side in the United States, but only "Can't Take That Away" was released in other countries.
"Never Too Far" and "Don't Stop (Funkin' 4 Jamaica)" were released as a double A-side in the United Kingdom, but charted separately elsewhere.
"Get Your Number" was released as a double A-side with "Shake It Off" in countries such as the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Position on the Hot 100 Airplay chart when a physical single was not released.
Currently Charting.
