Duran Duran is an album by Duran Duran, originally released on June 15, 1981 (see 1981 in music). It reached No. 3 on the UK charts.

The band's first single to be released was Planet Earth (in March 1981) and it reached #12 on the U.K. charts. This was followed with the release of Careless Memories in May 1981, but it only reached #37. Girls On Film, released in August 1981, reached #5, in part due to the controversy over the video that accompanied it.
