Caporal is a typical Bolivian dance. It is a legacy of the Spanish colony where caporales were Spaniards born in the colonies who use the power to control native people. After the Spaniards left Bolivia they began caporales as a dance to show that legacy.

Caporal or caporales today are a typical folkloric dance very popular among the bolivian festivities. A male caporal dress would depict a old spanish military guard. A female caporal dress consiste of a miniskirt, fancy shoes [...]
