I just read that the German artist Sigmar Polke was awarded the Wolf Prize in 1999, but that he refused to accept it (or even refused to talk to the commission). As there is not much information online, I could not find out the reason of this behaviour. Does anyone know more about this? Ulenspegel (talk) 08:37, 16 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
