No its not

Playstation 2

will the game be for playstation2

This game is NOT part of the Smackdown Series! Sort it ouot!

Read the references, it is part of the SmackDown! series per THQ.--~SRX~ 22:17, 12 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I know it days its part of it, but why is it when its nothing to do with either 3 brands of WWE? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.206.120.162 (talk) 12:57, 14 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That is up to THQ, not Wikipedia.--~SRX~ 20:44, 14 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think it will be, especially if it is being released in March, I think it will be a side game, not a new name for the series. The reason for this is, the Smackdown vs Raw series is to big and can be expanded, especially now they have DLC and create-a-finisher, because CAF is going to be perfect the first time, and it will need to be improved.

Also, you can't have this game under the smackdown series and wrestlemania-based games, someone has to fix that. Fresh Prince Carlton (talk) 12:24, 21 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It has been fixed, someone added it to the template, thanks for the heads up ;)SRX 02:12, 22 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It shouldn't be on the template at all, it is not confirmed to be part of the wreslemania series or the smackdown series. Remember, wikipedia is not supposed to have specualtion and unconfirmed facts. Fresh Prince Carlton (talk) 02:51, 23 May 2008 (UTC) 71.232.180.227 (talk) 02:39, 23 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well Mr. IP, that is correct, however, it has been removed from the template.SRX 02:40, 23 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

IGN confirmed the game to be seperate to Smackdown vs Raw series.

I read on IGN that Legends of Wrestlemania will: "and it's in addition to the WWE SmackDown vs. RAW franchise." that means we will have the SVR series and the legends of wrestlemania series. Here is the link to the IGN webpage confirming the game for the 360 and PS3: http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/871/871969p1.html

I suggest someone fix the templates and the article. Fresh Prince Carlton (talk) 02:49, 23 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Nice catch. They probably just changed that, because it didnt read that a while back. Fixed.--SRX 03:05, 23 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I see no change,it still says it is part of the smackdown series in the article and template. maybe you should fix it SRX and then semi-protect the article. Fresh Prince Carlton (talk) 03:34, 23 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed and there is no activity to justify Semi-ProtectionsSRX 03:36, 23 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thnaks for fixing it, I'll save the code from it if anyone decides to screw around wtih it. 71.232.180.227 (talk) 15:16, 24 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Roster

Does this roster seem a little outrageous to anybody else? Mick Foley, Kurt Angle, and Scott Steiner are all contracted to TNA now. Foley was with WWE recently enough that he could probably be included (plus he might still be under a Legends contract, I'm not sure), but Angle and Steiner seem like definite no-goes. The reference is also a dead-link now. Unless somebody can find another reliable source, we should probably remove the roster section. Jeff Silvers (talk) 05:52, 23 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think so, there are some confirmed for the game. and i agree Foley, Angle and Steiner are't gonna be in the game. 72.131.57.148 (talk) 20:56, 30 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

On the other hand, when THQ releases official box art depicting Stone Cold and the Rock, along with extended gameplay scenes featuring Andre the Giant and Hulk Hogan...it's probably reasonable to agree that some of the game's roster has been confirmed. Bag of Carrots (talk) 06:08, 3 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I reinstated the properly-cited roster that had been added in good faith. If anybody wants to open a discussion about which websites might be more reliable than others, that's what Talk pages are for. Keep in mind, the reason we identify citations is so that readers can determine the information's validity for themselves. In the meantime: Violating WP:3RR isn't a great idea; and respectfully, it might be worth revisiting WP:OWN. Bag of Carrots (talk) 07:00, 12 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Just watching the replay of WWE Raw and then ECW here in England and Legends of Wrestlemania has took over the advert before and after breaks which was for SvR2009, and footage on this short advert includes Shaun Michaels......when he had hair ala when he was in the Rockers, I know this is not citation but I believe this proves that he is in the game, from that a very vague guess that Marty Jennety will be, and I think I spelt his name wrong. 77.97.190.39 (talk) 23:44, 22 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I tried to include this information, but for some reason it doesn't show up. What's going on?Wwehurricane1 (talk) 21:23, 10 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Per WP:GAMECRUFT, roster lists should be avoided. Only prose that summarizes the roster should be added, like it is in its current state.--TRUCO 503 21:27, 10 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

WP:GAMECRUFT does not say roster lists should be avoided, the roster is one of the if not the most important part of wrestling games. Ideally we shouldn't use lists, but prose is too clunky in dealing with the roster anyway. But seriously explain how a roster list is in violation of WP:GAMECRUFT. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.61.222.82 (talk) 14:13, 13 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

PS2 version

According to the instruction manual for SvR09, this game is also gonna be on the PlayStation 2. Shouldn't that be noted, or has the PS2 version been canceled? 23:40, 31 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have that manual and it only showed the generic PS logo, but it was announced by THQ that the game was only for PS3 and the 360.--SRX 02:29, 1 January 2009 (UTC)

I agree man it is obvious that Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart are in the game now with the advertisment and everything —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.22.63.8 (talk) 13:40, 24 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

IMDB is not reliable.--TRUCO 02:11, 24 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yep, that it's not. I think I saw Dustin Diamond in there at one point. RELIABLE. --Kaizer13 (talk) 03:21, 9 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Firstly, why is IMDB not reliable? Secondly, that roster is entirely feasable. Over half of those characters have been in WWE games in the past.121.216.99.211 (talk) 13:14, 9 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, because Wikipedia is updated on feasibility, not reliability. Secondly, there is almost zero chance of Randy Savage or Mick Foley getting placed into the game, so reliability goes right out the window too.--ECWAGuru (talk) 14:38, 9 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I never said that Wikipedia was updated on feasablility. But that doesn't mean that a mainstream site should be dismissed just because we PRESUME that certain characters won't be in the game.121.216.99.211 (talk) 03:56, 11 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

ign roster

ign has been posting videos confirming the roster for about two weeks now why are you all still arguing about imdb as late as the 11th february —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.13.67.59 (talk) 00:04, 15 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

what is it that your showing me its not a rumor there confirming the roster it was on the artical yesterday what happend to it —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.148.247.185 (talk) 22:17, 15 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Roster

I was reading the latest edition of WWE Magazine and there was a section about Legends of Wrestlemania. There will be 38 playable characters plus valets and managers. It was the March 2009 with either the Triple H , John Cena or Jeff Hardy coveres10:00 February 16 2009 (UTC)

Hmm. Interesting, may you cite what issues this was in? This can be added into the prose.--TRUCO 15:08, 16 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Why has the final roster not been placed on this article? It was confirmed nearly a week ago on IGN124.183.93.38 (talk) 03:30, 21 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Per a consensus formed at WT:VG#Roster in wrestling articles, a list of characters is not to be added and instead a summary prose should be used instead.--TRUCO 03:40, 21 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

what bullshit the roster has been announced just get it up

Your uncivility will not help in this case.--TRUCO 16:33, 21 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The complete roster was finalized on IGN´s wrestlefest 4 and in addition to that, the roster on the official website has 2 more names on it: Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka and "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes. So a complete roster section should be justified by now!

Only a section that speaks about the complete roster will be added. It was decided at that link above to no longer have the rosters in wretsling video games.--WillC 10:25, 22 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

thats so silly lol

NEW ROSTER

http://www.wwe.com/inside/news/legendswrestlemania/roster/ That is the link to all of the wrestlers in the game .User:Underfan User talk: Underfan/Talk 4:58 Feb.23 2009 (UTC)

Ok, what's your point? The roster wont be on the article, so why list it here? Not to be rude but people do visit other sites to find out information. RobJ1981 (talk) 06:44, 24 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I don't see why the roster cant be added, when WWE have confirmed the full roster. Nithas (talk) 20:10, 26 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Can people read? It's only addressed about four times in this discussion thread. --ECWAGuru (talk) 20:40, 26 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Due to a WP:CONSENSUS we must adhere to made at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Video games/Archive 65#Roster in wrestling articles. In addition to the WP:NOT, WP:GUIDE, and WP:GAMECRUFT policies/guidelines.--TRUCO 00:11, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

and theres not chance of there being a turnaround a mean the gguy at the end had the best point and it realy does take away an important part of the article —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.148.69.132 (talk) 20:14, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Relive,Rewrite,Redefine

this is the slogan for the games advertisment where does it actully sau these are game types 78.148.69.132 (talk) 01:45, 2 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That's the game's "story" mode. SimonKSK 16:41, 2 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unlockables?

Dusty Rhodes is currently on the road officially promoting the game for THQ and WWE at game fairs and has said in an interview that Macho Man is in the game and there is a match with the two of them: http://www.operationsports.com/forums/wwe-forum/297376-legends-wrestlemania-demo-next-week-hidden-wrestler.html Go to the link and click "Spoiler" - it's at the end. Anyways, Rhodes is OFFICIALLY promoting the game and their is video proof of this - should it be in the article? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.232.51.25 (talk) 23:22, 2 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

<<<This Is FOR The PS2>>>

I'm looking at my SVR2009 manual right now, and I see an earlier post about the same thing, There is not just a general PS Logo. It says, and I quote: "Available on Playstation 3 and Playstation 2 computer entertainment systems and PSP (Playstation Portable) system." Look it is right under the RP and "general PS logo" symbol. I think this is enough evidence to say that it is for the PS2 and PSP. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Fresh Prince Carlton (talkcontribs) 16:11, 13 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

can we get some match types up please this article sucks WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoo —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.148.33.196 (talk) 00:02, 14 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
