Beloretsk (Russian: Белорецк) is a city, in Bashkortostan, Russia on the Belaya River. Population 81,817 2002. Geographical coordinates 53°58′N 58°24′E / 53.967°N 58.400°E / 53.967; 58.400.

History

Was founded in 1762, as a settlemet around the newly constructed Beloretsk iron works on Belaya river.

Granted the status of a town in 1923.
