Combat School is a documentary-style television program airing on Discovery Channel (Canada) in 2009.[1] The show focuses on a platoon of 40 men and women from 1 Platoon, Mike Company, 3rd Battalion, Royal Canadian Regiment as they undergo warfare training prior to disembarking for a tour of duty in Afghanistan.[2]

Synopsis

Official series synopsis from Paperny Films:

Combat School is a documentary series that follows – for the first time ever – infantry soldiers as they undergo the most technologically-advanced, intense and realistic combat training in military history. Granted unprecedented access, the cameras go directly to the heart of modern warfare by following a platoon of 40 men and women from the time they commence their training until they are declared “battle-ready.” Our film crew is then embedded with the platoon “outside the wire” in Afghanistan where the soldiers’ skills are put to the ultimate test..[3]
