Hechtia is a genus of the botanical family Bromeliaceae, subfamily Pitcairnioideae. The genus is named for Julius Gottfried Conrad Hecht, German counselor to the King of Prussia (1771-1837). The plants of this genera are dioecious like the pineapple.

Species
