Ezequiel Matias Schelotto (born 23 May 1989) is an Italian Argentine footballer who plays for Serie B club Cesena.

Club career

Schelotto trained with Cesena since July 2008.[1] In April 2009, his transfer was cleared by FIFA.[2] He played 6 matches (out of possible 7) for Cesena.

In June 2009, he was signed by Atalanta in co-ownership deal. In July 2009, he was loaned back to Cesena. Since arriving In Cesena Schelotto has earnt rave reviews for his performances on the Right Flank. Schelotto is compared by many to having the qualities of fellow argentine/italian Mauro Camoranesi. He is an all round right sided player blessed with blistering pace and agility with the ability to not only attack but also track back and defend when called upon. Schelotto's trickery and crossing have led many goalscoring assists and also has an eye for goal, with 4 goals in 15 starts for the Serie B leaders. It is the opinion of many that Schelotto will go on to become a major talent in future year's and Marcello Lippi was questioned about Schelotto whilst apearing as guest on Sky Italia for an Italy Under-21 international. He described him as 'potentially, the best young right sided player that Italy have at the moment, maybe of any nation in the world'.

International career

In November 2009, he was call-up to Italy national under-21 football team,[3] and was immediately featured in the starting lineup in a game against Hungary U21 on November 13.
