Touchstone Community School is an independent co-operative elementary school located in Rothesay, New Brunswick. Founded in 2000, Touchstone teaches students ages three to 11. Touchstone uses the Core Knowledge Sequence, as well as the Atlantic Canada Language Arts and Mathematics Curriculum guides.

At the foundation of Touchstone Community School are our seven key objectives.

  • Striving for academic excellence
  • Maintaining small classes
  • Providing a creative environment that encourages hands–on collaborative learning
  • Teaching an expanded and challenging curriculum
  • Enriching the curriculum with regular field trips to historical, cultural, and scientific sites
  • Respecting students’ curiosity and interests and developing their unique gifts
