Teodora Matejko

Teodora Matejkowa neè Giebułtowska (b. 1846, d. August 25, 1896 in Kraków) - the daughter of Antoni Giebułtowski and Paulina Sikorska, wife of a Polish painter Jan Matejko.
She came from a family Giebułtowski, friends of the family of her future husband. On 21 November 1864 she married Polish painter Jan Matejko. After their marriage, they moved in Krakow, where he was born five children: Tadeusz, Helena, Beata, Jerzy and Regina. Soon after the marriage, Matejkowa ill with diabetes, and in the later years of mental disorder. She often posed her husband for paintings, mostly as a Bona Sforza, or Barbara Radziwill.
