Condado is an avenue in Puerto Rico just east of old San Juan.

El Condado, as it is commongly kwown by Puerto Ricans, stretches from the Caribe Hilton hotel to the west, to nearby Isla Verde to the east. Isla Grande Airport and most of the Hato Rey areas are to the south, and the Atlantic Ocean is to the north.

El Condado is a posh area filled with hotels, restaurants and nightclubs, and where many of Puerto Rico's rich and famous live at. Jose Miguel Agrelot had an apartment at El Condado, as did Lourdes Chacon (sister of the also famous dancer Iris Chacon) and many others. Most international superstars who come to Puerto Rico stay at El Condado, and Marvin Hagler was sighted vacationing there in 1983 after his fight against Roberto Duran.

American Airlines, Delta Airlines, Avianca and Iberia Airlines, among others, had their offices at El Condado. Karl Walenda died there in [1976]] while attempting to cross from one hotel to the other, using a rope, by air.

The adyacent, Isla Verde area, is also a posh area with hotels, restaurants and mansions of the rich and famous.
