Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions to the Freddy's Nightmares article, but for legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text—which means allowing other people to modify it—then you must include on the external site this statement (or something similar): "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later, and under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 License".

You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question at the Teahouse. You can also leave a message on my talk page. The JPS 17:08, 22 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Re: NoES

Hi! You are doing a good job on those plots (and I'll be working on that myself, later). Also, I know that tables can be confusing, so don't worry about it yet. Most of the other Nightmare movie articles need some work, so keep it up. If you need anything, you know where to reach me.--Sean|Black 05:29, 23 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Re: NOES2

The tagline is already at the IMDb- it's really just tivia. The stuff in the infobox is important for research purposes, the tagline is less so. If itmust be there, at least put it in the intro; it doesn't need it's own section.--Sean|Black 03:31, 10 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Series templates

Well, I suppose there's no harm in using the NOES template as a base. To be honest, I don't have much experience creating navigational templates. Just be bold, and create them.--Sean|Black 22:56, 20 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:Traitor.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images on Wikipedia is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. You can get help on image copyright tagging from Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags. -- Carnildo 04:27, 3 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Smallville Picture

So, basically you're saying, by cropping off the Kryptonsite tag, the photo is no longer a copyright violation? You can't display a cropped version of a Kryptonsite picture without their permission. The photo shouldn't be there at all if we don't have Kryptonsite's permission. - Nights Not End 06:34, 4 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Smallville pics

hey dude, what's the big deal? we are workin' to improve the quality of the article. just posting bad quality images isn't sane don't you think? besides, i think we have an image standard for every single episode of Smallville, f.i. i just removed the Reckoning one because it has lower DPI than the HDTV one and as a plus the caps are actually from the episode, so why complain? as long as the copyrigth notice is there, there's nothing to worry about. c'mon be positive for the article. --Charlie144 06:34, 5 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

a sane way to decide which image should stay is based on solid statements: Here are mine:

  • We have a standard image size for every episode since Season 1, so bigger images shouldn't be accepted since it would distort the standard structure used in every season.
  • Images such as the one in Reckoning, Tomb and Cyborg were obtained before the episode airing and thus are not official, don't have a quality standard and don't fit in the standard size (these eventually should be replaced)
  • Images from every episode should give us the most representative scene or theme of the episode
  • Most screencaps of HDTV cover a larger area because of the format, so those are recommended. For example the current Reckoning image has an acceptable quality, but it is too zoomed in, and is bigger than the standard, whereas the other one covers a larger area with less zoom (and fits in the standard size) thus adding major detail from that sad scene.
  • There would be a strong copyright issue if there weren't any copyright information and details about all the images used in the whole Smallville article, but this is included in every single image and the WB is credited everytime. Even if the logo is there or not, it's the same, since any Smallville indicia is property of WB. As long as we credit them, it's ok. Just every single article from Wikipedia follows the same rule.
  • I eventually tried to resize the current image to the standard size, but resampling it just cuts even more detail, so my suggestion is to replace it with
File:Smallville 512 reckoning.jpg

I hope these reasons are more than enough, but I encourage you to add your arguments. If you were convinced by mine, fine and we whould proceed to change images. But as a suggestion for future issues, I'd recommend not to post upcoming episodes images. Thanks. --Charlie144 14:11, 6 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

if you ask anybody about Vengeance, that episode would be remembered always because of Andrea, the Angel of Vengeance, not Clark struggling the crimminal, that was what I intended when saying "representative". anyway, you still don't give a valid argument, why are you always avoiding the "standards" topic? you still haven't said anythin about it. if you think both images are the same, then we should preserve the standard with the HDTV one. --Charlie144 14:43, 6 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

the season main image is up to a standard too, just in case you didn't notice (the smallville S5 logo was there just as a temp because there's not DVD yet) I replaced it because that official poster is more accurate and has better quality and it would eventually be replaced by an official season 5 poster...why don't you check seasons 1-4 and see the image sizes used for season image and episode image, there's a standard there Bignole. if we were to use images from different sizes and place them anywhere it would be a mess don't you think? the purpose here is to improve and assure the quality of this article, I'm not fighting for a personal cause, my work is not the only one that should be here, c'mon! anyone can do it, but we should respect the standard format that was adopted for the whole article, if everything goes like that no problem. --Charlie144 15:27, 6 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
