Simon David Finn (born 5 December 1965) was first elected to the seat of Yeerongpilly in the Queensland State Parliament on 7 February 2004. He is a member of the Australian Labor Party. [1]
He was appointed as Minister for Government Services, Building Industry and Information and Communication Technology on the 21st of February 2011.[2] He is also a member of the Parliamentary Criminal Misconduct Committee. Prior to his apointment as minister for Government Services, Building Industy and Information and Communcation Technology, Simon Finn was Parliamentary Secretary for Industrial Relations.[3]
Mr Finn has been an advocate of preserving Brisbane heritage, including the historic Regent Theatre a petition for heritage listing of the venue was tabled before the Queensland Legislative Assembly with Mr Finn's sponsoreship. [4]
