Tangmarg (Template:Lang-ks) is a Town/Tehsil in the District Baramulla of Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir.

It is a major stop for buses and other heavy vehicles coming from Srinagar, going towards Gulmarg or Babareshi. All the vehicles are allowed beyond this point to Gulmarg which is 13 km. Heavy vehicles are not allowed beyond this point during the winter whenever there is a heavy snowfall. Tangmarg has a post office ,which has been recently modernised and renovated by way of computerisation and there are plans to develop it into a model post office at par with project arrow post offices.there are many hotels and restaurants. everything required by travelling tourists. This stop is to be taken seriously since there are no more stores on the way to Gulmarg from Tangmarg. Tangmarg is a Tehsil belonging to Dist. Baramulla. Tangmarg is 37 km away from Srinagar and its road from Srinagar is two way. Tangmarg has many tourist Sports like Drung, Gulmarg, Babarashi. Babarashi name is based on Baba Payamum-din-Rashi and his death body is buried here. So, it is called Babarashi. Amongst the prominent villages of this tehsil are Ferozpora,Lalpora,Hardu-Aboora,Hariwatno,Chandilora,Triran&Quazipora.Ferozpora&Hardu-Aboora are beautiful villages on the banks of Ferozpora nallah.Tangmarg is almost 39 Km away from Srinagar. Tangmarg is famous for fresh cold water,heavy snow fall,its unique natural beauty,tehsil headquarters,Tourism. It has been provided with Tehsil Office ,Police Station,Sub District Hospital Munsif court Fire & Emergency Services.Town Area Municipal committee,Power grid station, Prominent personalities of Tangmarg are Dr.Mustafa Kamal,Ghulam Hassan Mir Ghulam Mohiuddin Wani Shakir,Dr Ashraf.
