Comin' Home Baby! is a jazz song first recorded by Dave Bailey Quintet in 1961 on Two Feet in the Gutter (Epic BA 17021). It was composed by Dave Bailey's bassist, Ben Tucker.[2] The song was subsequently recorded six weeks later by Herbie Mann live at the Village Gate. Bob Dorough of School House Rock Fame added a lyric to the song and the vocal version became a Top 40 hit for American jazz singer Mel Tormé. The song has been covered numerous times including a version by Michael Bublé (included in his album Call Me Irresponsible), Quincy Jones, Hank Jones, David Sanborn and Sergio Mendes,[3][4]
