Yuck, A Love Story is a children's novel by Don Gillmor, illustrated by Marie-Louise Gay.[1][2]

About The Author

Don Gillmor, author and journalist was born in Fort Frances, Ontario in January 1959, and now lives in Toronto. Gillmor went to the University of Calgary and now possesses a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature. He has written a novel set in contemporary Toronto, he also wrote a novel called Kanta dealing with the whole of Canadian history. Don Gillmor has written nine books for children, two of which were nominated for Governor General's Award. He has also won numerous other honours including ten National Magazine Awards. [3] [4]

About The Illustrator

Marie-Louise Gay was born on June 17, 1952 in Quebec City, she grew up in Montreal along with Vancouver, although her family moved ten times before she was twelve years old. Gay did not grow fond of drawing until around the age of seventeen after failing art in grade three. She was a child actress for a short time before her family moved once again leaving her acting career in the past. She has written and illustrated many children's books in both French and English, although her Stella and Sam books have been published in more than twelve languages. She has won multiply awards including the Elizabeth Mrazik-Cleaver Canadian Picture Book Award, and many others. [5]
