Day of Fire is a Christian hard rock band from Jackson, Tennessee. They are signed to Essential Records, where they are labelmates of Third Day, Jars of Clay, and Caedmon's Call.

Day of Fire's lead singer, Joshua Brown, was formerly the vocalist for Full Devil Jacket. Signed to Def Jam Records, Full Devil Jacket enjoyed a successful, though short, career; they made one album and one EP, and toured with Nickelback and Creed. In 2000, while in Full Devil Jacket, Brown nearly died of a heroin overdose but was able to recover through a drug rehabilitation program. He became a Christian while working on the second Full Devil Jacket album and left the music industry. Several years later, he decided to start Day of Fire with Gregg Hionis, after hearing that Essential Records was interested in signing him.

Day of Fire had moderate hits with "Cornerstone" and "Detainer" from their self-titled debut album. The album was produced by Scott Humphrey, who has also worked with Metallica and Rob Zombie. It won a Dove Award for Rock Album of the Year and was also nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Rock Gospel Album. Their second album, called Cut and Move, was released on June 6, 2006.
