Jan Miodek (born June 7, 1946, in Tarnowskie Góry, Silesian Voivodeship), Professor of Wrocław University, is a Polish linguist[1] in the normative tradition. For several years he has held the post of the head (director) of the Institute of Polish Filology at the Wrocław University.

He is one of the members of the Polish Language Council.
