Mushtaq Jalili (27th October 1927 - 14th October 2004) was the son of well-known Urdu poet Jalil Manakpuri. He was born in Hyderabad and passed away at Bombay..

He joined the Hindi film industry around 1950 as a writer, he began his career working for Abdur Rashid Kardar. His films include "Kaun Apna Kaun Paraya", "Ek Phool Do Mali", "Aap To Aise Na The" etc. His last film was "Safari" (1999). [citation needed]
