Adina cordifolia

Template:Linkless-date Adina Cordifolia belongs to the Rubiaccae family of trees. It blossoms as a huge deciduous tree that could grow well over 20 metres high. The flowers are insignificant individually but a sight to see when they blossom together in balls with a circumference of 2 to 3 cm. They are usually yellow in colour often tinged with a shade of pink. Kadam is at its blossoming best during winter. The bark of the tree acts as an antiseptic.
