Khaleed Leon "Khleo" Thomas (born January 30, 1989), or simply Khleo, is an American actor,[1] rapper, singer, and entertainer best known for his role as Zero in Holes and Mixed Mike in Roll Bounce. Khleo also starred in other films like Walking Tall (2004) and Remember the Daze (2007). Currently, Khleo is working on his debut album, Juzt A Sample.

Early life

Thomas was born in Anchorage, Alaska, the son of Raquel and Leon Thomas, the latter of whom is an army officer who at the time was stationed in Alaska.[2] Khleo's mother is a Jewish immigrant from Morocco and his father is African-American.[2][3][4] After living in Germany, the family returned to the United States when he was four.[2]

Music career

2003-10: Music beginnings

Khleo starred in the 2003 Disney film Holes, adapted from Louis Sachar's Holes of the same name. One of the movie's soundtrack songs, "Dig It," earned him some popularity in the music world. Khleo began really working on music when he started being associated with Bow Wow & his label LBW. He was featured in Bow Wow's fifth studio album The Price of Fame & numerous of his mixtapes. He also made an appearance in Bow Wow's "Fresh Azimiz" music video. Khleo was also associated to Soulja Boy's label SODMG Entertainment but ended up not signing with them on his mixtape The Next Episode there is a song entitled "Anniversary" that explains why. In the beginning of 2010 Khleo released his debut mixtape The World Is A Cartoon it had over 100,000 downloads.

2010-present: Just A Sample

In August 2010 Khleo stated he was working on his debut album entitled Just A Sample which was originally intended to be his mixtape. He also said that his first single would be called "Lights Out". It is known that he has already shot a video for it but it is yet to be released. He also released a snippet of "Let Go" a song that was supposed to be on the album, which samples "Let Go" originally by Frou Frou. Also in 2010 Khleo formed his own record label Zero Unlimited & has signed with The Plus Records. Khleo also made an opening performance in California on the "How The West Was One Tour" with Snoop Dogg and Ice Cube in September 2010

On January 11, 2011 he released his second mixtape entitled The Next Episode. On January 18, 2011 Khleo released his music video for his promotional single, "Lights Out". On August 15, 2011 it was announced that Khleo had parted ways with The Plus Records & got a signed deal with label Executive Dream Music.

In 2012, Khleo released another mixtape entitled Slick Living, which became his new motto to present. Although having the least amount of tracks, it became his most successful mixtape with rating online on multiple official websites for mixtapes. Although he released "Lights Out". "So Many Girls" became his first single which the music video reached number one on BET's 106 & Park. In June 2012, Khleo released a single titled "Fly Me Out To Cali", which featured Los Angeles emcee MANN.[5]

He is still currently working on his debut album Just A Sample which will be released sometime in 2014.[6]

Acting career

Thomas' first television appearance was on an episode of Bill Cosby's Kids Say the Darndest Things, and he has since starred in such films as Holes, Friday After Next, Going to the Mat, Walking Tall & Roll Bounce. He guest-starred in Poppin' Tags, an episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation in 2006. He also co-starred in the first episode of the television series Teachers, which was canceled after six episodes. He was in the main roles of movies such as Hurricane Season & Remember The Daze. In 2010 Khleo starred in the action film Boogie Town.
