Reception
Reviewing the 2015 20th Century-Fox Cinema Archives DVD release of A Life in the Balance for DVDTalk.com, Paul Mavis wrote, "Despite some evocative location shooting in Mexico, and a decent noir set-up, A Life in the Balance turns out to be a straight thriller, rather than a noir...which would be perfectly fine, if it got the thriller aspects right. Which it doesn't."[2]
