The Secret Footballer is the pseudonym of an alleged Premier League footballer who contributes articles to The Guardian newspaper and has written four books, I Am The Secret Footballer, Tales From The Secret Footballer, The Secret Footballer's Guide to the Modern Game and The Secret Footballer: Access All Areas.

There is no independent evidence supporting the author's claims to have played professional football. A blog exists that attempts to piece together "clues" from various columns in an attempt to uncover the footballer's identity.[1] The Secret Footballer claims to be English, married and to have played for at least two Premiership clubs.[2]
