As part of its restrictions, Spain refuses to recognise Gibraltar's international dialling code +350 instead treating Gibraltar as part of the Cadiz province's telephone exchange, using the code 9567. This has restricted the expansion of Gibraltar's telephone numbering plan, as only 30 000 numbers can be dialled directly from Spain. Roaming for Gibraltar GSM mobile phones in Spain is also prevented, although they operate throughout the rest of the world.
