Jakson Ragnar Follmann (14 March 1992) simply known as Follmann, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Chapecoense. He survived the crash of LaMia Airlines Flight 2933.[1]
Career
He began his career in Grêmio's Academy, but was released in 2008. So he moved to the Juventude's Academy, where he won the 2010 Campeonato Gaúcho Sub-20 and also competed in the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior and Taça Belo Horizonte de Futebol Júnior.[2] In 2011 he was promoted to the First team squad of Juventude, where he played in the Copa do Brasil.[3] Follmann remained with Juventude until the following year, being contracted by Grêmio and making his return to boyhood club where he played as the fourth goalkeeper.[4]
In 2015, Follmann completed a transfer to Linense. Despite spending a year at the club, he made just one appearance for the club which came against Ituano in the 2015 Campeonato Paulista. He left in 2016 to join URT, for whom he made his debut for on 31 January in a 0–0 draw versus Cruzeiro in the 2016 Campeonato Mineiro.[5]
On 29 November 2016 he was one of six survivors when LaMia Airlines Flight 2933 crashed during a flight from Santa Cruz, Bolivia to Medellín, Colombia.[1] He suffered the amputation of one of his legs.[6]
