Andrzej Józwowicz (born 14 January 1965 in Boćki, Poland) is a Polish Archbishop of the Roman Catholic Church who currently serves as the Apostolic Nuncio to Rwanda.

Education

Ordained as a priest on 14 January 1990.

Studied Philosophy and Theology in Warsaw.

Has a Doctorate degree in Canon Law and Civil law from the Pontifical Lateran University in Rome.

In 1997 graduated from the Pontifical Ecclesiastical Academy. He speaks Italian, French, English, Polish, Portuguese and Russian.[1]

Diplomatic service

On 1 June 1997 joined the Holy See's diplomatic service.

Served in Mozambique, Thailand, Singapore, Cambodia, Hungary, Syria and Iran.[2]

In 2012 he was appointed as Secretary to the Apostolic Nunciature in Russia.

Archbishop Józwowicz was appointed as Apostolic Nuncio to Rwanda on 18 March 2017, replacing Archbishop Luciano Russo, who had previously been appointed as Apostolic Nuncio to Algeria and Tunisia. [3]
