Craters on the Moon, again.
Hello again! I have another question that I would appreciate if you could take some time to answer! In the second piece in the article about Alphonsus (crater) it says: "This pyramid-shaped formation rises to a height of 1.5 km above the interior surface. It is not volcanic in origin, but rather is made of anorthosite like the lunar highlands.".
As I have understood it anorthosite is of volcanic origin. Could you please explain what you mean? Cheers. / Jopparn (talk) 02:26, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
- The rise was not created by a volcanic eruption.—RJH (talk) 17:06, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
- But is it not volcanic in orgin anyway (because of the fact that it´s built out of old volcanic material)? Jopparn (talk) 20:15, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

I can't believe I left out Sweden! I was so sure I checked all of them. Thank you very much for your help with the maintenance. --TimClicks (talk) 06:47, 9 November 2008 (UTC)

Re: Varanus bitatawa
Hello. Writing that it was Critically Endangered according to IUCN 3.1 was a mistake. You can see the reference I added ([1]). Cheers, --The High Fin Sperm Whale 00:58, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
A chessburger for you!
Hmmm, You do not need to activate this on svwp just to test it.
It's possible to test here! If it is a good idea to activate on svwp? I don't know (yet). Lavallen (talk) 17:11, 20 August 2011 (UTC) |
- Hehe, well, it did make me smile anyway :). And isn't that kind of the point? Jopparn (talk) 18:37, 20 August 2011 (UTC)
Your input is needed on the SOPA initiative
Hi Jopparn,
You are receiving this message either because you expressed an opinion about the proposed SOPA blackout before full blackout and soft blackout were adequately differentiated, or because you expressed general support without specifying a preference. Please ensure that your voice is heard by clarifying your position accordingly.
Thank you.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. Translating from other language Wikimedia Projects
Hello, Jopparn. I have just seen the article Sparken, which you created. Its content seems to be the same as sv:Sparken, an article you contributed to on Swedish-language Wikipedia. If you translate a page from one Wikipedia project to another, you need to note that fact either in your edit summary or on the new article's talk page. The template {{Translated page}} is available for that purpose. Please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia for details, and please note the translation on Talk:Sparken if appropriate. Thanks, and happy editing Cnilep (talk) 03:26, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
- Hi Cnilep, thank you for your message. I see now that I had two tabs open with the translation, one in which I had added the url to the Edit summary as I usually do, and where I had translated all of the text in the Swedish article (a sentences about it being an award winning park was missing in the tab that I saved)... That was really clumsy.
- I have now added information about the award and also another sentence about the project that I hope make the relevance clearer, and of course the template on the talk page as you suggested. Cheers, Jopparn (talk) 07:05, 16 April 2014 (UTC)

Hi
DYK Nom
Hello, can you please help out with the question in the DYK nomination above? There seems to be an issue with the slush and super-cooled hook. Seems like the reference might be the offline book. Thanks.--NortyNort (Holla) 23:40, 10 June 2014 (UTC)
- Hi, sorry for the delay in answering. I did not write the original article in Swedish, but a friend of mine did. I have asked him for clarification. Best, Jopparn (talk) 12:57, 29 June 2014 (UTC)
DYK for Klabböle Power Plant
On 25 June 2014, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Klabböle Power Plant, which you recently created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that the 19th-century Klabböle hydroelectric power plant in northern Sweden produced electricity until 1958, and is now a museum? You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, live views, daily totals), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page. |
