Name change

Merge nature and natural environment

Don't merge nature and natural environment articles

Definition, again

I see that this discussion page reflects lack of satisfaction with definition since at least 2005, but I still find it is not satisfactory yet. As a reflection I propose to compare natural environment with ecosystem, and try to establish the differences between them. I also propose a quotation from Donald Symons: "An environment is not really natural or unnatural, but rather each of its aspects varies along a continuum of naturalness. Natural environment being a sub classification of environment, the first consideration should be to examine the environment definition. I have done it, and found that it can be improved. Since it is not logical to discuss about the environment (biophysical) article from here, I close this talk, and will start a new one there.--Auró (talk) 11:58, 11 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Environment

Environment is the that affects especially the circumstances and conditions of life of people or society as a whole. The totality of the natural, social and cultural values of a place and a particular time, that influences human life and future generations. That is, it is not just the space in which life unfolds but also covers living things, objects, water, soil, air and the relationships between them. Swiss Alps
