Saba Qamar Zaman (Template:Lang-urصبا قمر زمان; born April 5, 1984)[2] is a Pakistani film and television actress. One of Pakistan's most popular and highest paid actresses, Qamar is the recipient of several accolades, including Lux Style Awards, Hum Awards and a Filmfare Award nomination.[3]

Qamar made her acting debut with a role in the television series Mein Aurat Hoon (2005). Internationally, she received critical acclaim for her portrayal in the comedy-drama Hindi Medium (2017), which ranks among highest-grossing Indian films of all time and earned her nomination for Filmfare Best Actress Award.

Early life and career

Born in Hyderabad and raised in Gujranwala, Qamar moved to Lahore to pursue further studies. Qamar made her debut in Lahore in the PTV Home TV series Mein Aurat Hoon.[1] She won the PTV award for the best TV actress in both public and jury choice categories at the 16th Annual PTV awards, held on 23 July 2011 for her role in Tinkay. This was followed by a Supporting role in the PTV Home's social drama on women, Bint e Adam. Her role in the series was of a rich brat who falls for a boy from poor background, and marries him against her cruel father's wishes. Bint e Adam was a major critical and commercial hit, however, critics noted that her role was "limited" from an acting point of view.[4] She won the Best TV Actress trophy for her role as Suraiya in Dastaan, at the first Pakistan Media Awards (2010), and was also the recipient of the Best TV Actress trophy in both the public and jury choice categories at the 16th annual PTV Awards (2011). She has won the award for best actress at the 17th Annual PTV Awards (2012) for her role in Tera Pyar Nahin Bhoole.[1] She won her first Hum Awards for the Best TV Actress for her role as Diana in Bunty I Love you, at the 3rd Hum Awards (2015).

This is the reason Peeple's of Pakistan call her as "Queen of Dance, Emotion's & Expression" in Pakistani Film and Television Industry.

In 2015, she made her film debut in the movie Manto, directed by Sarmad Sultan Khoosat.[5] She appeared in the spin-off to Karachi Se Lahore, called Lahore Se Aagey.[6] She made her debut in the Hindi film industry, in Saket Chaudhary's film Hindi Medium, opposite Irrfan Khan.[7] The film became a sleeper hit in India[8] and China.[9]
