Markaz Knowledge City is a city project of Markaz[2] in Kozhikode, Kerala.[3][4] The foundation stone for the project was laid by President of the Samastha Kerala Sunni Jamiyyathul Ulama, Taj-ul Ulama Sayyid Abdurrahman Albukhari[5] on 24 December 2012. The project cost is estimated at $10 million.

Location

It is located at National Highway 766 (India).

Economy

Markaz Knowledge City houses a hotel and convention center, a shopping mall, and the Cyboland I T Park.

Health care

Markaz Unani Medical College and Hospital is located in the city.[6][7][8]

Education

Markaz Law College is located at Markaz main campus. The college is affiliated with the University of Calicut[9] and is recognized by the Bar Council of India.[10]

Transportation

Knowledge City connects to other parts of India through Calicut city on the west and Thamarassery town on the east. National highway No.66 passes through Kozhikode and the northern stretch connects to Mangalore, Goa and Mumbai. The southern stretch connects to Cochin and Trivandrum. The eastern National Highway No.54 going through Adivaram connects to Kalpetta, Mysore and Bangalore. The nearest airports are at Kannur and Kozhikode. The nearest railway station is at Kozhikode.
