War Heroes is a compilation album[3] by American guitaristJimi Hendrix, that was released two years after his death (on October 1 and December 1972 in the UK and the US, respectively). It was engineered, mixed and compiled by Eddie Kramer and John Jansen. Though biographer and later Hendrix producer John McDermott notes the album was produced by Hendrix, Kramer, and Jansen,[4] Hendrix was not listed on the original album credits.
^ According the book Setting the Record Straight by John McDermott and Eddie Kramer the b-side "The Stars That Play With Laughing Sam's Dice" was originally on the track track listing but was pulled at the last minute and was later used on the later posthumous release "Loose Ends". McDermott and Kramer mention in the Discography section of the book that if they revamped "War Heroes" another b-side "51st Anniversary" would have also been included.
