Fate: The Winx Saga is an English-language Italian young adult drama television series based on the animated series Winx Club, created by Iginio Straffi. It will be produced by the Rainbow studio, which is co-owned by Straffi and Viacom. Principal photography began in September 2019 in Ireland, with Brian Young set as showrunner and Judy Counihan set as executive producer.[4] Abigail Cowen will star as Bloom.[5]

Production

Development

Iginio Straffi first announced plans to produce the series for Netflix in March 2018.[6]

On 1 August 2019, it was revealed that the show's working title was Fate: The Winx Club Saga. Casting calls were held in August.[7][8] The show's filming began in Ireland in September 2019 in Wicklow.[9] Brian Young is the showrunner for the series,[9] and executive produces with Judy Counihan, Kris Thykier, and Iginio Straffi.[5] Lisa James Larsson and Hannah Quinn are directing the series.[1][9]
