Kuzhimathicadu is a small village near Kundara, where people of different religions live. Located 2 kilometers south of Arumurikkada, Kuzhimathicadu is the Downtown area for nearby villages, such as Saippumukku, Chekkala Mukku, Edi Mukku, Amachan Mukku, Plamoodu, and Churula. The first Higher Secondary school for science in the Kollam district started functioning at Kuzhimathicadu in the year 1990, as an upgrade of the existing secondary school. Kuzhimathicadu Sreekrishna Swami Temple is an ancient shrine owned by Kadathanattu Valliya Madom of Kuzhimathicadu. Chirakkadavu Devi temple is also located near Kuzhimathicadu, around 1 km away.
