High school trivial?

The section 'Threats against high schools' seems trivial among all the influence and significance of English Wikipedia. I propose to remove it. Comments? - Onanoff (talk) 03:32, 7 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Edit request : "Users and editors"

In the paragraph "Users and editors" is the amount of articles mentioned, nothing about their content and the quality of the content, and one editor is being mentioned, a mega-wikipedian, who has nothing to do with the average editor. It would be great, when the content-creators would get a little bit more of attention. Thanks PeriodicT (talk) 14:19, 15 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Edit request : "english speaking people"

Quote: "Many of the most active participants in the Wikimedia Foundation, and the developers of the MediaWiki software that powers Wikipedia, are English-speaking users." - That doesn't make clear that many english speaking people participating, have roots in countries where english is not an official language. The developer of the WikiMedia software for instance is english speaking, from Germany, people with a seat in the Universal Code of Conduct Drafting Committee do all speak english, but originate from The Netherlands, Tunesia etc. Please do correct that. Thanks PeriodicT (talk) 14:32, 15 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It is not necessary to make this clear. It is important to note that there are many non English speaking people editing the en.wikipedia too. -Roxy the grumpy dog. wooF 15:18, 15 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Roxy the dog: For people that do speak english but are not originating from a country where english is not an official language, it would be fair to clarify the text. Now it looks like mainly people from the U.S., Canada, Australia and U.K. are the most active participants in the WIkimedia Foundation. Maybe it's right but there's no reference given. Offcourse, when also many people participate in the Wikimedia Foundation who do not speak english, that should be mentioned. PeriodicT (talk) 18:33, 16 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
