Rohit Shyam Raut is an Indian singer and music director, who primarily work on Marathi film industry.[1] He appeared in the Indian singing reality show Indian Idol 11 and was the first runner up of the show.[2][3]

Personal life
Rohit Shyam Raut was born on 18 November 1995, Raut comes from Latur city where he started his journey of singing, completed his secondary education at Shri Deshikendra School, Latur, Raut lives with his Father Shyam Raut who works as cultural head of Nationalist Congress party, Latur district and younger Brother Yugal Raut who has his own business of sales. Raut is married to his long time girlfriend Juilee Joglekar, she is also a singer by profession.[4]
Career
In earlier Life Raut started participating in District, state & national level music competitions, very first time he got selected at Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L'il Champs on Zee TV and started to get popularity from that show, there after Raut gained popularity in his career from the show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Marathi L'il Champs.[5] He was one of the Finalists of the show and was known as 'Future Music Director'. He made his debut from the song Yaara Yaara in Duniyadari. After that, he appeared in many Marathi films including Triple Seat, Muramba, Ti Saddhya Kay Karte, etc.
He has also sung most of the title tracks and songs of daily soaps such as Ka Re Durava, Sang Tu Aahes Ka?, Majha Hoshil Na, Pasant Aahe Mulgi, Dil Dosti Duniyadari, etc.[6][7][8] Raut Participated and got more popularity by his appearance in Indian Idol Season 11, He was the 1st Runner up of the show.
He made his debut as a music director with the 2019 marathi film Mogra Phulaalaa. He also got a nomination in the best playback singer category at the Filmfare Awards Marathi 2020 for the song Manmohini from the same film. Raut is coming as Music Composer by Marathi movie OMG (Oh My Ghost).
Rohit received the Maharashtra State Film Awards in the Year 2014 in the best playback singer category for the song Sehar from Candle March. He also bagged the Film Song of the Year award for Hrudayat Vaje Something and Film Album Of the Year along with the music team of Ti Saddhya Kay Karte at the Mirchi Music Awards Marathi 2017.
