Request for clarification re: Honey Bee

The distinction is specifically taxonomic, as indicated in the text; by definition, only the members of the genus Apis are, or ever have been, called "honey bees". Many "common names" are taxonomically restricted, and "honey bee" is one such name. Dyanega (talk) 20:19, 6 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
