Welcome!

Hello, Citizen-of-wiki, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on discussion pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{helpme}} before the question. Again, welcome!

You're welcome. I am glad I could help. It is understandable that you might miss the personalized details of the article. However, these are encyclopedic articles and need to be written in a particular style -- the guiding principles being facts, non-opinionated writing and reliable third-party sources. (The Wikipedia:Wikipedia in brief page gives a good quick overview with links to fuller explanations.) Objectivity isn't always easy to maintain if one writes about a subject to which one is close. This is the reason WP reminds people about conflict of interest. If you have questions, let me know. Otherwise... best of luck on your future articles. Cheers. Your editing improvement was spot on -- and the addition of the citation made it perfectly acceptable. CactusWriter | needles 07:13, 11 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to the Article Rescue Squadron !

A warm welcome as out newest member, let me know how I can help you!

Hi, Citizen-of-wiki, welcome to the Article Rescue Squadron! We are a growing community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to identifying and rescuing articles that have been tagged for deletion. Every day hundreds of articles are deleted, many rightfully so. But many concern notable subjects and are poorly written, ergo fixable and should not be deleted. We try to help these articles quickly improve and address the concerns of why they are proposed for deletion. This covers a lot of ground and your help is appreciated!

If you have any questions, feel free to ask on the talk page, and we will be happy to help you.

And once again - Welcome! Ikip (talk) 17:06, 24 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

NATO videos

Hi. Just to let you know that another editor has a suggestion for you regarding the copyright status of the NATO videos that you uploaded, here. Cordless Larry (talk) 18:43, 22 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Just to check, do you have any interest in taking the course of action suggested? Cordless Larry (talk) 12:02, 5 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I sent an email, however, I have not received a response yet. Let me know if you have any other questions or suggestions. Citizen-of-wiki (talk) 05:36, 6 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the update. Cordless Larry (talk) 10:43, 6 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You Deleted Some of my Edits to the ISAF International Security Assistance Force Article

Hi. I prefer the numbers used in the placemat, but don't have any objection if you want to add the numbers for the real total. Xnacional (talk) 03:13, 28 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the suggestion. I added a rounded total and an actual total per discussion resolution. Let me know if you are comfortable with the changes I made. Please don't enter into an edit war. If you don't like my changes then please tell me and I will make the necessary changes or completedly delete what I added. Unfortunately, some of the older NATO/ISAF placemats are not rounded. Also, sometimes the placemat is rounded up and sometimes it is rounded down. Citizen-of-wiki (talk) 12:33, 28 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I like what you've done. Thank you for asking me for my opinion. Xnacional (talk) 17:28, 28 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
You are very welcome. Thanks for being an editor on Wikipedia.Citizen-of-wiki (talk) 23:34, 28 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Citizen of wiki, I propose to split the statistical tables away into a new article, maybe ISAF troop number statistics, which would reduce the article size (it's 107kb) and also mean the article stabilises a bit. Would you have any objections? Buckshot06 (talk) 02:48, 28 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. ThoughtAudio Review Request

I am seeking independent and neutral viewpoints on the article ThoughtAudio, which is being considered for deletion. If you have a few minutes to review it, I would appreciate your article contributions and opinion on the decision as to whether it merits being retained and improved, or deleted. ThoughtAudio was targeted by the same editor that made a failed attempt to delete the wikiquote article Michael Scott Gallegos. There are only 3 reviews/votes so far. I am hoping that a minority viewpoint as to the worthiness of the article will not prevail. My work is mainly in the creation of new wikiquote articles @ELApro and time is rarely spent in unproductive controversy. I am a long time editor for Wikipedia, but have not created many articles here. I would much appreciate your advice and/or contributions with regard to the process.
