Shwapnil Shojib (born 21 November 1991) is a Bangladeshi singer. He works on Folk music.[1][2][3] He was a child virtuoso and has received several National awards. His first stage performance was at the age of five, along with his aunt. And thus the journey began.[4][5] He is also a popular anchor of Bangladesh of most popular channel named Channel i.[6] He is listed singer of Bangladesh Betar and BTV.[7][8] Shwapnil was the First Official Entry for North American Bengali Conference (NABC) in year 2015 from Bangladesh.[9][10] His first solo musical THE TAGORE TREASURY for G Series. Agniveena has topped charts in leading music stores of Bangladesh.[11][12]

Career

Shwapnil learnt classical vocal from his aunt, Lutfun Nahar Lata. He also got a classical & Loghu Shangeet training from legendary singer Ustad Ali Imam Chowdhuri. He has done his four years diploma in music from Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, Faridpur. He learnt Rabindrasangeet under the special tutelage of most eminent Rabindrasangeet singer Rezwana Choudhury Bannya. He also studied at Chhayanaut which is one of the most prestigious cultural organizations of Bangladesh. His debut album was released in 2012 by G Series.[13][14][15]

Shwapnil was born on 21 November 1991 in Faridpur. Mother Shima Sultana and Zahid Hossain. His school was Faridpur District School and College was Faridpur Yasin College. He graduated from National University.[16]

  • Won First Prize at “Jatiyo Shikkha Shoptaho” 2000 & 2001 in Rabindra Shangeet.[23]
  • Won first Prize at “Jatiyo Shikkha Shoptaho” 2001 in Folk song.
  • Shera Bangali and Bongoratna Shomannona 2022[24][25]
  • Global Music Award, Dubai for "Khoyeri Bikel" 2018[26][27]
  • Iconic Award (Best Singer) 2022[28]
