Gashaye Tafere Taye, born in August 1992, is an Ethiopian education professional, humanitarian worker and blogger.[1]

Education

Earned BA degree in Civic and Ethical Studies from Bahir Dar University Bahir Dar Ethiopia in 2019. Earned Diploma in Civic and Ethical Education in 2013 from Gilgel Beles College of Teacher Education, Gilgel Beles Ethiopia. Studying MA in sociology from Indria Ghani National Open University Delhi India 2023-2024.[citation needed]

Career

Currently working as an Education in Emergency program assistance officer in a refugee camp at Plan International Ethiopia. Founder and CEO of the new episode for Africa. Working as a volunteer Amharic language translator at the Creative Society International project.

Has worked as a lecturer at Assosa University, Assosa, Ethiopia, for 2 academic years. Teacher and school deputy director at Hope Enterprise (a Netherlands-funded humanitarian NGO) in Assosa, Ethiopia, for 6 years. The remote education program manager at The Steps Forward was founded in Ann Arbor, Michigan, United States, one year. Experienced in teaching from elementary school up to university, from governmental organizations up to local and international NGOs, and from host communities up to varied refugee communities.
